New admission policy for those aspiring to get admissions in Medical Colleges of Pakistan has been made jointly by the Supreme Court and PMDC.

Nobody with less than 60% in FSc or equivalent can apply. A single test will be held for all public sector and private medical & dental colleges and all admissions will be made by a single university in a Province or territory (in Sindh, it is Jinnah Sindh Medical University, Karachi which has declared last date for application for test for candidates of Sindh as 8th October and the test will be held on 28th October).

Only AKU is the exception as it holds certain status internationally.

Only those who have studied abroad and have over 60% marks in FSc or equivalent, can apply on the basis of a foreign MCAT or SAT.

In public sector colleges of Sindh, only students from Sindh can apply.

In private colleges of Sindh, it’s open merit. Applications for private colleges will be invited separately (probably sometime in November) after admissions in public sector colleges. All students from anywhere in Pakistan will be able to apply with the results of the entry test of their provinces/ territories (for example UHS test in Punjab, Khyber Medical University test in kpk, SJMU test from Sindh). All application in Sindh will be made to SJMU.

The tuition fee will be Rs. 950,000 per year. One time admission fee will Rs. 50,000.

University fee, Government taxes, hostel fee and transport fee will be separate.
